If you noticed a decrease in publishing frequency lately… and how I’ve been losing my breath quickly on the podcast… now you know the reason! A lovely baby girl was born on September 26, our sweet number three in the family (the boys are 5 and 6 years old).
I sent out a very similar update in the fall of 2013, let’s see what’s different this time!
First, you really know the drill with your third. So you’re relaxed about the technical details; we also have more helping hands now than we did before.
On the other hand, it’s been a while. I’m 31 now, and the whole baby experience is way more thoughtful. More worrisome — for things like health (which was taken for granted before), even though both the baby and myself are doing fine. More enjoyable — for things like sweet toes, fluffy hair, and sharing the excitement with our boys. And, dressing a girl is a whole new design exercise!
On the work side of things, I’m still doing some consulting and running Userlist with my awesome co-founders. It’s a good thing that our customers couldn’t see my huge pregnant belly during the demo calls… I wouldn’t want them to buy our software “so that we can feed the children” 🙂
The podcast is now going out every two weeks instead of weekly, and surprisingly that has affected the stats in a positive way. I’m planning to keep the show going as a major source of inspiration for both myself and (hopefully) the listeners.
Thank you for being here at UI Breakfast, sharing moments like this with you is truly a gift!
