Dear reader, I’d love to share some background behind this blog post. This website version is about three days old now and is very much focused on writing, rather than sharing design work. Of course that has much to do with the upcoming book that is now taking up all days and nights.
When I was working on the site, I did my best and wrote all copy before I even opened up Photoshop. That was rather hard to do because I always have my hands itching to tackle new design projects. I went even further and had my great editor, Emily, work on this content so it’s entirely ready to publish before a single pixel appears on screen.
Writing content first is a great practice that is so hard to find in real life. I was really proud that in this case I had all power and time in my hands to do everything properly, once in a blue moon (as compared to most often hectic and unplanned client work).
My only mistake was that I created content for all the static promotional pages, but was careless enough to leave behind that infamous first blog post. Now it’s something that hinders me from sharing the website launch with wide public!
So here you go, this is not just a simple “Welcome” post, but a friendly inspirational reminder to all of you that Content is King and needs to be prepared upfront. And being a true professional, think of all details and plan them upfront, that’s what makes you a master of your trade!
